Became the lead delivery engineer for the enterprise VM provisioning team after my first 3 months. This was a team of ~11 engineers.Trained upwards of 20 engineers on how to create and deploy virtual machine images using VMWare Application director. This drastically reduced the typical wait time for application teams to obtain virtual environments.Coordinated with over 15 Application Teams to provision logical Environments leading to decreases in feature lead times and greater compartmentalization of operations.Self initiated unit testing puppet infrastructure code ensuring code. This led to the proactive discovery of an un-triggered bug. This was a factor in cementing unit testing as a team standard.Automated health checking for dynamic environments ensuring environment stability before commencing deploys.Documented and demonstrated the benefits of puppet and how it was used in the organization. This garnered great interest from my colleagues to introduce this tool to their respective application teams.Optimized pipelines for an application team, breaking a trend of issue filled releases.Conducted knowledge transfer sessions with an application team leading to heightened levels of confidence in the CICD process and self-sustainability.
