Area Maintenance Manager, LGA9, 2017 - 2019• First maintenance manager hired for the building, led a team of 38 newly hired Material Handling Equipment (MHE), Amazon Robotic (AR) Technicians, and support staff into building launch (October 2017) and Amazon Peak season 2017.• Assisted building Maintenance Manager through all phases of hiring additional management and technician staffing to include interview, skills testing, and final determination.• Led multiple shifts of Technicians until additional mangers hired and trained, continued to support all shifts through all phases of training and maintenance.• Coordinated and led site maintenance in conjunction with Amazon BQE SME teams during two major sorter breakdowns and repairs during January 2018, site down-time cut in half of expected down-time, site was able to recover volume lost and production numbers by week three vs. expected week 7.
