Research ScientistUppsala University Oct 2013 - Sep 2015My role as a researcher in Environmental Toxicology has mainly been to plan, execute and develop new research projects on the topic of developmental neurotoxicology. I have also worked as a lecturer and main responsible for an introductory course in environmental toxicology. My main research interest since joining the team in Uppsala has been to study functional disturbances of CNS development, caused by environmental pollutants like PFOS, PBDE 99, carbaryl and chlorpyrifos. The experiments have included behaviour studies and analyses of changes in transcription of genes involved in neurotransmitter systems, but I have also developed a curiosity to look further at functional changes caused by these pollutants by planning to involve electorphysiological methods and metabolomics in future studies. -
