After more than 3 years at Hella Corporate Center Shanghai, I got the opportunity to move on and continue my career with Hella. Here at Hella Vietnam Co., Ltd as “IT Team Manager”.In this role I have two areas of tasks:First includes all the disciplinary tasks and responsibilities. Hella Vietnam is a young and growing location also as IT competence center inside the global Hella IT structure. Therefore, it is very important to make sure that the team is well linked to the rest of the Hella IT world. So that all the team members get the necessary support and can grow together with the challenges on global scale.My task is to establish a motivated and stable team. To support them which what is necessary to achieve the best results. This can be daily support like, creating connections to other locations or experts, help to understand culture differences from global colleagues and customers, align the global CMS processes, etc. But also on a long term it is very important to have a clear development plan so that the team members know what’s to achieve and dare to commit. As second part I also took over some of my previous tasks for the support of the “Time to Market” area. I am working as connecting part between the business side and the IT. In my past years I could gain already great experience in this area so that I know the processes and requirements from TtM very well, on the other side I also have my roots and competences in IT.One of my main focuses is the automatic and secure CAD data exchange to our external partners and customers. As single point of contact between external / internal users & IT department, I provide solutions for all kind of process & technical related problems.

In the beginning of 2012 I have got the offer to transfer as an expat to Shanghai. At my current job as “SAP Business Analyst” I am responsible for the PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) System of the Hella Group. My team members are distributed globally with the “follow the sun” principal. In this structure I take care about the topics which come up in Asia Pacific.To guarantee an efficient utilization of the product lifecycle management systems and processes one of my tasks is to conduct training sessions for the engineers in Asia Pacific.To continuous improve the harmonization between system & processes, theory & practice; I am working in different projects to ensure the best user experience. The projects are pretty various from an implementation of a new quality tool to maintain drawings; material master harmonization for a new location up to the complete integration of new joint-venture companies with focus of know-how protection; to mention a few examples.To complete my task as single point of service I am also supporting the automatic and secure CAD data exchange to our external partners. For this I have to solve all kind of technical problems and to communicate with the external customers to prevent any delay during the design projects.
