At ITM, my work centers around developing automated jobs, simplifying web tools for marketers, and building dashboards to summarize marketing efforts over a period of time.I build automated tools using the Dagster Python framework. The Dagster orchestration server is deployed on the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Compute Engine (VM), Cloud Build, and Cloud Run. Raw backend data from marketers websites are generally captured in MongoDB Atlas. I use the Dagster jobs to process the raw data and store results into Google's BigQuery platform.Our marketers are generally using WordPress for building promotional web sites. My responsibilities are centered around creating WordPress Shortcodes to ensure common code is being used across pages. Additionally, I am responsible for maintaining previously written basic tracking code. Raw tracking data is saved into a set of MongoDB Atlas database collections. As part of this, I maintain MongoDB indexes, backups, and data growth.Finally, our marketers need a common way to visualize the performance of their web sites. I am responsible for building and maintaining Tableau dashboards to help with these visualizations. A dashboard may capture things like number of users to a page, number of purchasers, ad network source, email source, and many more summaries.

At Goldman Sachs I worked on the Middleware Engineering team for 9-10 years. At a high level, Middleware Engineering is responsible for providing database and messaging solutions, auditing access to these systems, developing automated tools, and provide ongoing support for these systems.In the last 5 years at Goldman Sachs, I picked up more project and people management responsibilities.- Aligned to be manager of multiple summer interns and their associated projects.- Managed the Middleware Engineering team across the Salt Lake City, Utah and Dallas, Texas offices, which consisted of both DBAs and developers.- Onboarded new hires- Helped people navigate team member careers in a large global company- Managed 15-20 global developers building automated tools for database and messaging systems- Managed internal website project to help automate and facilitate developer needs with databases and messaging systems.In my time at Goldman Sachs, I worked in quite a few technical areas. Including the following:- Onboarding, deploying, and supporting the open source database PostgreSQL- Writing and debugging database functions and stored procedures for relational databases- Managing databases running on Red Hat Linux (RHEL)- Full stack development consisting of Perl, Python (Python3), and React (ReactJS)- Building automated tools in Perl- Building automated tools in Python 3- Implementing REST API framework using Django REST Framework- Implementing Celery framework for distributed async job executor- Supporting database systems like MongoDB, SAP ASE (Sybase), SAP IQ, and IBM DB2- Participating in a global on-call rotation for database support- Some exposure to AWS cloud, specifically through database deployment and support.

I worked as an in-house programmer. I mainly developed applications using a combination of Flex, PHP, and MySQL. Other projects required HTML and Java. All of the programs I developed went towards making the company run more efficiently.

I supplied IT support to our location and other auxiliary locations. The work included Desktop Support, Server Installation and Maintenance, Active Directory Management, Backup Management, Network Installations, Traffic Filtering and Information Logging
