This is done on behalf of National Sales Companies and Volvo Cars dealers.The team had two major areas - marketing operations and consumer interaction. The marketing operations team manages the contact with our markets globally, managing consumer databases, data mining to optimize what consumers to communicate to and data management ensuring the data in the databases are correct.Consumer interaction includes developing prospect and customer contact programs including both new car sales and after sales communication. It also includes the process of a centralized fulfillment process with fulfilment partners sending both printed marketing material (Direct marketing/DM) and electronic marketing (eDM - emails, SMS etc.)My contribution was first as project manager for the centralization process where we designed the team, defined processes, chose partners to work with - fulfillment partners, creative and strategic CRM agencies and consultancies both for business development and operative staffing. This task included working with the markets and transferring their previous state of working with local partners to our centralized set up.When we became operational I headed up the team as operational manager. The team expanded over time and when I moved to my next role the operational team included 15 persons in the Gothenburg office, mix of employees and consultants, and a newly started team in Guangzhou China of six persons.
