Company is a Design, Product Development , QC enterprise, sourcing and developing - Furniture- case goods, accent furniture , Patio Furniture, Home Decor, Seasonal Product, and Leather goods and accessories. I am in charge of all product Development, Factory selection, and making sure we respond and satisfy the needs of buyers for Furniture stores, Mass merchants and speciality retailers. We currently source product from all over Asia and Europe. We have our own designs as well as facilitate OEM projects. My extensive source of contacts and knowledge of trends and market direction, make us a valuable partner to those exposed to working with us.

Responsible for evaluating and optimizing entire Supply Chain. Charged with re-energizing relationships with existing quality suppliers , extricating company from unwanted suppliers, and replacing those with new, modern, resourceful suppliers. Also responsible for expanding product offerings by expanding current categories and adding new product categories such as furniture, patio furniture , New Home decor , and outdoor lighting. These new factory additions quickly became the go to suppliers for CKI. Responsible with working with design team to identify and work with The current and upcoming trends in color, fashion, and product design . Work closely with this team to be ahead of curve on offerings and the statements they made. Evaluated and evolved day to day operations of USA and Overseas offices, their personnel, with more efficient, and detail oriented functioning as well as advancing the spirit of lean operations , efficiency, advancing individual's strengths and operating with a new sense of social responsibility. Worked closely and developed new relationships with Finishing companies, component suppliers , to further advance the Companies ability to deliver quality, exciting and unique finished products.

Charged with working with CMO, Merchandising and Buying team to facilitate product development and production with existing Furniture suppliers as well as finding and evaluating new factories in Furniture, Accent Furniture, Home Decor , and Lighting. Travelled and sourced in 12 countries. Was responsible for all overseas travel for the company and the logistics of moving people around continuously. Was the driving force in opening Indonesia as a resource base, and expanding Vietnam and Malaysia as well as growing the Chinese and European supply base. Was the go to person for tough situations and negotiations. Worked side by side with buying teams to achieve best possible cost to retail vectors. Was responsible in adding Patio furniture to product offerings. Having the merchandising departments input, was able to help manufacturers be better prepared for product sample offerings and new product introductions.

Supported different retail entities for Schottenstein Stores Corp, including Value City Dept. Stores, DSW, Steuben Glass, Adrienne Vittadini, Judith Leiber. Responsible for factory evaluations, sample development and QC, as well as final product shipments. Charged with developing new factory supply opportunities and also with aiding the different retailers with starting new ventures such as finding and evaluating factories and product for DSW for new line of Private Label and Control labeled Hand Bags. Responsible for evaluating and detailing options of Schottenstein Stores Corp. owned entities and other suppliers in marketplace.

Lead Value City Department Stores in their growth in the area of Importing. Was responsible on exposing merchants and buyers to Overseas factories and resources in both Europe and Asia. Head of team that developed new product , line extensions and new categories for the Department Stores and new resources for these changes. Was responsible in managing overseas product shows factory visits as regards Corporate travel - being the one to decide which shows to attend, which factories to visit and what was the appropriate time to do so. Worked extremely close with merchants to make sure they product they wanted in their departments was fully supported by resources overseas. Was also responsible for QC, factory compliance, vendor relations, price negotiation, Custom compliance. Was also person who oversaw Graphics Department , and developed all packaging and labeling of product for the Department Stores. Worked both Hardlines and Softlines ( Ready To Wear ) . Was responsible in bringing in and expanding constantly, seasonal product such as Patio and Christmas product. Was also the person to oversee and work with all overseas agents and representatives.
