During my time on the Junior National Team, the mental health and mental performance resources available to athletes through organizations such as the USOPC were not made readily available to those junior athletes like me. Giving junior athletes, the future of each sport, the mental resources to succeed early could add a higher level of performance than is seen today. I have heard countless collegiate, nationally competitive, and professional athletes discuss how they did not connect with these resources until much too late into their career. My goal is to give athletes, especially youth athletes, the tools and resources to unlock their peak performance in the sporting world, educate coaches on how to implement these tools into their practices, and normalize the use of mental performance consultants and sport psychologists.
