Oversaw legal department of ViaSat's consumer/business services segment, which delivers high speed satellite internet and other services to residential and business customers. Supported Sales, Marketing, Finance, Customer Care, Field Ops, IT and Engineering groups. Drafted, negotiated and reviewed wide variety of contracts. Monitored laws applicable to ViaSat's consumer business and oversaw compliance with same. Managed/updated privacy, data allowance, network management and other policies applicable to consumer service offerings. Advocated for satellite broadband in state legislative and regulatory matters.

Provided advice on international litigation matters; negotiated and structured complex international insurance transaction and oversaw claims process.

Led nonprofit corporation with approximately 80 employees and annual budget of $5 million that provides full convergence of services to homeless youth and youth at risk of becoming homeless with the goal of helping them overcome real life challenges and become self-sufficient adults. Had overall responsibility for programs, finance, funding/development, community relations and strategic planning.

Oversaw ethics and compliance program that maintained high-integrity environment for 30,000 employees. Led risk management organization with annual budget of over $100 million and 175 employees responsible for internal investigations, privacy, environmental health and safety, corporate security and insurance and claims.

Managed Special Litigation group which directed Qwest's responses to government investigations and securities and derivative litigation.

Represented clients in commercial litigation matters, including contracts, real estate, securities, trade secrets and defamation. Conducted internal investigations for corporate clients and represented individuals in criminal and regulatory investigations.

Handled all aspects of prosecution of federal crimes, including jury trials, grand jury investigations, sentencing and appeals. Served as Deputy Chief of Public Corruption & Government Fraud group from March 1994-Jan. 1996, and supervised approximately 20 AUSAs in the prosecution of political and law enforcement corruption, government program fraud, bank fraud, defense procurement fraud and tax and environmental crimes.

Represented clients in commercial litigation matters, including contracts, securities, contested acquisitions and takeovers, insurance, antitrust, real estate, employment, defamation, advertising and copyright and trademark infringement.
