Development of sensorless control methods for permanent magnet synchronous machines using Kalman Filter and Model Reference Adaptive System. Member of the Power Electronics, Electrical Drives, and Storage Systems Laboratory.

The project aimed to evaluate the behavior of a nine-switch converter driving a three-phase induction machine. The control adopted in the grid-side allowed the system to be operated with a leading power factor to reactive power compensation. On the machine side, the field-oriented control permitted variable-speed driving.Activities: Simulation of the system using commercial software (MATLAB/Simulink); Prototypes development; Planning and analysis of experiments; Presentation of papers at technical-scientific conferences; Support to other projects of the Lab Team.Research funded by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES).
