Stefan Ulland is a curious geek and entrepreneur with a running problem. Living in Johannesburg South Africa he is an independent consultant within the ICT sector advising clients on technology decisions and implementations.After having completed his commercial apprenticeship in 1998 and a short stint as a workshop manager at a small IT outfit, he partnered with one of the directors founding NETeffect Solutions operating out of Cape Town.NETeffect Solutions was sold in 2004 and Stefan moved into the corporate and internet service provider space. He considers himself to be a technical generalist with his career primarily having focused on designing, implementing and integrating systems, security and infrastructure, having lived the industry shift from on-premise to the cloud.Never backing down from a challenge, Stefan’s career has seen him hold operational, architectural and presales roles primarily focusing on large or technically complex solutions.Playing a pivotal role in incubating the world’s first Oracle SuperCluster as a Service offering; a multi-tenanted implementation of Oracle’s highly acclaimed engineered system, Stefan returned to operation heading up the managed service team under the Britehouse - Oracle Division.With hyperscalers playing an ever more prominent role in IT solutions Stefan now helps businesses shift to a hybrid IT and cloud-native environments in-between participating in ultra-distance events
