This ensures that potential weaknesses are identified and remediated promptly.Policy Setup: Developing and implementing security policies that align with industry best practices and regulatory standards, further fortifying our defense mechanisms.Incident Management: Swift and effective response to security incidents, minimizing any potential impact on our organization.Documentation: Thoroughly documenting security procedures, incidents, and measures taken to ensure a well-documented and transparent security environment.L1 SOC Alert Handling: Efficiently managing high-alert notifications from our Level 1 Security Operations Center (SOC), ensuring immediate attention and resolution of critical security issues.My role as a Cybersecurity Analyst revolves around staying ahead of emerging threats, bolstering our security infrastructure, and ensuring the protection of our digital assets.

• Operate the anti-virus management tooling (Symantec) and Symantec EndPoint protection.• Operate the patch management tooling for Windows (Symantec, Rapid7, Altiris, possibly InTune)• Manage/ deploy Windows patches to test- and acceptance labs.• Manage/ deploy applicable Linux patches to test- and acceptance labs.• Be part of the life-cycle process for patch management.• Building, testing, and deploying software packages (e.g. Microsoft Security updates, Linux APT or YUM updates) in accordance with release schedules. Remote software distribution and remote support activities for troubleshooting of endpoint solutions. Creating and maintaining packages, as well as software consistency. Use programming to create supporting tools or to automate some manual processes.• Analyzing, tracing, and extracting relevant details from logs, understanding the relationship of the details across different products and components for the services our customers have implemented.• Creating analytics reports, as well as automated reports which extract any necessary information from customers’ devices.• Develop, review and document procedures and improvements; Ensure processes adhere to all regulatory requirements; Identify patterns, provide feedback and follow-ups for the customer, and make suggestions for the process, project, system, and tool improvements.• Maintaining agreed-on baseline and performing regular checks for all devices/operating systems in the stores that are in scope.
