I am the Program Director of the Foundation BFPE for a Responsible Society (formerly known as Belgrade Fund for Political Excellence), a non-governmental organization based in Belgrade, Serbia. In this role, I lead the creation and implementation of the organization's program orientation,I oversee the implementation of various project-based activities at local, national, and regional levels in Serbia and the Western Balkans. My responsibilities include planning, operationalization, and implementation of topics related to the development of democratic practices and competencies of political and societal actors in Serbia, sustainable development goals, socio-economic policies, foreign policies, and regional cooperation.My expertise lies in foreign policy, regional cooperation, and the influence of foreign actors in Serbia and the Western Balkans. I have a special focus on the development of cooperation between China and the Western Balkans countries. In a research capacity, I have been actively involved in monitoring, evaluating, and formulating policy recommendations on the influence of China in the Western Balkans region. This work has included authoring policy papers for the International Republican Institute (USA), co-authoring a subchapter dedicated to the Western Balkans within a comprehensive EU-China study for the AFET Committee of the European Parliament, and contributing articles to outlets such as The Diplomat, ECFR, CEPA, and War on the Rocks.My research on Chinese presence in the Western Balkans has covered topics such as mapping and monitoring of financial arrangements (loans) provided by Chinese banks for infrastructural projects, Chinese foreign direct investment in the region, the impact of Chinese financial arrangements and foreign direct investment on corrosive capital, and the impact of the China-Serbia partnership on Serbia's European integration.In addition to my primary affiliation, I am a member of several expert and professional networks, including a visiting fellow position with the China Observers in Central and Eastern Europe (CHOICE), a platform dedicated to monitoring cooperation between China and countries of Central and Eastern Europe. I am also part of the Western Balkans Task Force of the International Republican Institute, a group of experts following topics related to foreign influences and the development of far-right movements in the region. On a national level, I have been a member of the National Convention on the European Union, participating in working groups 31 and 35.
