CurrentProject Lead Engineer- Vehicle Powertrain Systems - Jan 14 –PresentResponsible for leading Powertrain Launch engineering activities for New Vehicle Programmes. Engineering and delivery of powertrain systems, into multiple vehicle programmes, meeting all defined targets and attributes (Technical and Commercial – Cost, Quality & Time). Negotiation of technical solutions to balance the needs of stakeholders with differing objectives, understanding component evolution from prototype to production. Experienced of working in and interacting closely with, a production environment, recognising the pressures and needs of manufacturing. Delivery of error free components / systems to achieve all attribute, business targets and sign off line with Programme timing. Reporting to senior management in programme reviews.Engine Build Planning/Coordination- New Base Engine Design - Nov 12 –Jan 14Responsible for day to day coordination of engine build activity. Planning and delivery of build. Raising of job cards. Kit delivery and checking, expediting delivery and tracking of any shortages. Reporting any build issues via CCAR and AIMS. Validation of the build process and build documentation including required amendments. Ensuring individual build logs are accurate. Signing off completed builds. Ensuring engines are hot tested to meet delivery schedules. Liaison with programme/component teams ensuring issue resolution. Coordinate inspection activity to ensure timely delivery of major components requiring selective build. Reporting to management in planning meetings.Programme Engineer- Base engines - Jan 12 –Nov 12Support role responsible for delivery of a new diesel/gasoline engine base programme. Activities included compilation of client brochures. Development of programme activity timing plans. Management of design release and component ordering planning. GPDS status tracking and reporting. Tracking/management of issue resolution using company standard systems.
