Engineering and graft have been in my family for generations, so it was an easy decision to leave school at 16 to join the apprenticeship program at Automotive Products. After 4 years of working in all of the engineering departments and day release at college, I graduated my apprenticeship as a Design Engineer at AP Racing (a sub-division at that time).During my time at AP Racing I became responsible for all WRC clutch designs, NASCAR clutch design and the testing program for new carbon friction material. I also undertook a 2 year part-time BSc at Coventry University, to further enhance my academic abilities.In 2002 I moved the the Mitsubishi WRC team, working in chassis design. Following a management restructure and with a newly formed team, we designed Mitsubishi's first true WRC spec. car in a very challenging time-frame. By 2005 the car was fast and reliable, securing second place in the final round of the season.Early in 2008 I joined Triumph Motorcycles, again working in chassis design. Over the years I have performed many roles with a range of responsibilities. For the last few years my primary role has been running a team of up to 10 chassis engineers, delivering new vehicle projects from concept to production.
