In over two decades in various Operations type roles in P&C Reinsurance providing global, high quality and efficient services (predominantly to Claims, UW and Client Management teams) and in international Education, Stefan proven to be a strategically thinking, entrepreneurial, solution oriented and successful leader and to be successful in building and fostering key internal and external relationships and in operations and digital transformation. He highly enjoys and excels in leading organizations through change combined with putting emphasis on current strengths so they can be successful on their journey's into the future and to work with all relevant stakeholders. Stefan has been fostering and implementing change with highly diverse, regional and global teams in a sustainable way time and again and his analytical skills have proven to be critical to success in many ways in order to identify the relevant areas of improvement and challenges and to then find solutions accordingly.Starting his career as a high school teacher, Stefan later took on a role as lecturer and responsible for the complementary studies "Economics & Sports Management" at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH) in Zurich before kicking-off his two successful decades in the financial industry. He started in the Graduates program at Credit Suisse before joining Swiss Re for 18 years where he held various roles in Reinsurance P&C. At ISZL Stefan is now in a role that combines his teaching / lecturing background with his extensive experience in Operations, his strong interests in Sustainability Leadership and Digital Transformation and his strength of building and fostering relationships with public services as well as community and cantonal leadership. Stefan has an EMBA in Digital Transformation, a MSc in Sports Sciences & Kinesiology and a Swiss Federal Diploma in Information Technology. In addition to the experience in the Director of Operations role in education, in his 20 years in the Reinsurance / Financial industry, he acquired in depth knowledge of Property & Casualty (P&C) Reinsurance business processes, analytics and reporting needs as well as IT solutions to support workflows and support processes.Stefan has recently started his CAS in Sustainability Management at the Sustainable Management School SUMAS.
