− Lead designer and developer for a logistics information management system for a DoD customer. This project utilizes Oracle’s Application Development Framework (ADF) running in a Java EE (JEE) environment on Oracle application servers and databases. − Experience includes coordinating multiple developers, organizing and prioritizing development activities, researching enhancements and upgrades to the application and architecture, writing design, implementation, and testing documents, performing unit and integration testing. − Perform all database-related design, development, and administration tasks as DBA for multiple production, test, and development databases in an Oracle environment.− Perform all installations and upgrades to production, test, and development build, database and application servers.− Modified application code, database and application server configurations to meet government security requirements (DISA STIGs). Continually review and update systems and software to maintain security.− Manage nightly and release builds utilizing Subversion and custom ant scripts.Previous projects:− Worked on multiple application modernization efforts for the VA, including development of a Java API to replace a mainframe-based alerting system and a Java EE, web-based application to manage patient funds for long-term patients at VA facilities, also replacing an older mainframe-based system. Utilized JMS, Servlets, JSPs, and the Struts and Tiles frameworks, running on Weblogic application servers and Oracle databases.− Developed a prototype application for Android-based smartphones.− Developed web-based applications using Java and Microsoft .NET (C#, ASP.NET). Managed Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server databases.− Conducted testing and training sessions with users and enterprise support staff.− Attained SEI SW-CMM Level 3 and CMMI-SW Level 2 certifications.
