Working with numerical methods for partial differential equations on massively parallel processors. The PhD was part of the GPUlab project, funded by the Danish Council for Independent Research - Technology and Production Sciences (FTP). The main title of the research project was "Desktop Scientific Computing on Consumer Graphics Cards".GPUlab is a competence center and laboratory for the innovative use of Graphics Processing Units (GPUs) for visualization, scientific computations, and high-performance computing. In particular I am working with simulation of fully nonlinear free surface waves, based on potential flow theory and high-order finite difference approximations.
