Dr. Stefan Hild is a veteran in the global IT industry with more than 25 years of experience as a mentor, innovator, leader, and business executive. He has a proven track record of capturing emerging trends and developing them into products and, to date, has contributed to 44 issued patents. Stefan left IBM in 2016 to start Cognitive Solutions & Innovation AG, a boutique technology firm dedicated to developing advanced data analytics solutions for industrial applications. An in-depth partnership with ei3 started soon thereafter, which resulted in the creation of “ConnectedAI”, a groundbreaking innovation that makes AI-based problem solving accessible to manufacturing, at scale and with ease. Cognitive Solutions & Innovation AG was formally acquired by ei3 Corporation in late 2021.Prior to 2016, Stefan held various high-level positions at IBM and IBM Research, including Executive Partner responsible for Industrial Solutions and for IBM’s most high-profile client projects in this area.Stefan has authored many scientific publications and books. He is an often requested executive speaker and enjoys sharing his “AI war stories” with audiences large and small. Stefan holds a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Cambridge, England. He is a life fellow of the Cambridge Philosophical Society, member of countless professional bodies, and “Mensa”. However, he is the happiest flying his Piper Malibu to new places. He also enjoys sharing fine food and wine with family and friends.
