OppNet’s Organizational L&D work is centered on creating learning opportunities and communities that support its team members. OppNet’s L&D communities include its affinity groups and equity working groups. Its learning opportunities include a manager training series, a Safe Zone training series, and staff-led professional development centered around DEI.

Through Opportunity Ignited, OppNet works with employers aiming to learn, design, and build inclusive workplaces to hire, onboard, and retain first-generation college students and talent of color for summer internships and full-time jobs. Opportunity Ignited engagements are tailored to fit each partners’ unique resources and needs, and OppNet works with companies to co-create goals based on findings from an inclusive culture mapping process.

Leading ChangeMakers seeks to achieve racial equity in nonprofit arts leadership through education and interventions at the individual and organizational levels. We focus on developing the authentic leadership voices of historically underrepresented peoples and establishing a more inclusive cultural sector.

Greater New York City Area

Used leadership development modules and change management practiced to create custom designed client engagements for nonprofits and government agencies. Lead experiential trainings focused on practicing leadership more effectively, strategically and with deeper self-awareness and impact. Contributed to Coro’s Diversity Equity, and Inclusion committee and Coro Partner’s business development strategy.

Greater New York City Area

Supported the relationship cultivation of partner organizations and guided them through a partnership development process, including, capacity building assessment, position description development, agreement execution, and assessing the organization’s capacity to engage and activate the leadership capacities of young people (Allies).

Provided four Brooklyn based schools with strategic arts planning, high-quality professional development, and coaching support to shift school culture and climate, and build school success. Collaborated with the DOE's Office of Arts and Special Projects, the Department of Cultural Affairs, the Turnaround Arts: National team, and community-based organizations to create school change through the arts.

Lead the strategic development, implementation, and evaluation of a professional development program for 140 partner schools across NYC and a community and family involvement program with Harlem based early childhood centers and cultural partners, to combat barriers to cultural access, including: high admission fees to cultural institutions, lack of information, and deep-seated social differences along class, language, and ethnic lines. Other Highlights: - Co-led two cycles of an 8-month, bilingual, leadership development and outreach program which created peer-to-peer support for historically marginalized parents and their families.- Managed the leadership development and professional growth of a Program Assistant, as well as coordinated two Program Consultants, and a Fellow.-Facilitated and co-created over 40 professional development workshops for early childhood professionals, in collaboration with NYC cultural institutions such as MoMA, the Met, and The Intrepid.-Annually proposed and managed 2 program budgets and coordinated the annual collection of $378,000 in program fees from NYC Department of Education and other agencies.

Addressed issues around youth development and education, through a 10-month AmeriCorps program. Participated in a rigorous leadership development program co-led by local community leaders and expert practitioners from the social service sector.
