Built a wifi Metropolitan Network across Macedonia, Greece. This is a private network made by hobbyists. The network connects major cities of Macedonia (Thessaloniki, Katerini, Veroia, Giannitsa) using wifi technology. The backhaul links use the most modern technology of IEEE 802.11 standards like n/ac. We use various routing protocols for the routing of the network (Static, BGP, OSPF). As a server admin I am responsible for the operation and maintenance of IT equipment at the lab. The lab owns a 8 node - 16 cpu computer cluster which runs Rocks Cluster, its purpose is to forecast the weather for Western Macedonia and how the pollution from local powerplants will affect the area. Also the lab owns 4 servers which run on Ubuntu Server and virtualized through Virtualbox, those servers host Oracle DB, websites and software for simulations.

As the Executive Officer of the Branch, the Chair is the key to effective student leadership. Our branch has 30 active members. Every of our event attracts more than 50 students.As Chair, I am responsible for the overall management of all Branch affairs. However, in order to be effective, I am skillful at the art of delegating. I've delegated some of the responsibilities to the other members of the executive committee. Also my main goal as a chair of the branch and member of IEEE is to motivate people to do more than the undergraduate program offers, attend workshops seminars and hackathons.

The Student Branch Vice-Chair is the junior Executive Officer of the Branch. I've helped the Branch Chair (Mr. Konstantinos Magoufis) with the workload, oversee some of the subcommittees, and manage the annual program of activities. I've motivated the Branch Member to plan,execute and attend many of our events.

Implementing a network of nodes to sense the interference in WiFi. Using Software Defined Radios for spectrum analysis and WiFi modules for measuring the interference created by User Equipment (mobile phones, tablets, etc)

During the World University Debating Contest 2016, which was held in Thessaloniki, there was a need to provide internet access to 1500 participants and organizing committee. My responsibility was to configure and install 18 routers across the campus of American Farming School of Thessaloniki. Also due to strict policies of the campus the participants must be able to connect only to one website for the contest. In order to accomplish that I've configured a web proxy with policies and routed all the traffic through that.

As an intern I started with IT support. Then I've participated in conducting a Proposal for a project "Displacements Construction Works and Support Services in the existing Fiber Optic Network from Athens to Thessaloniki and/or to New FO networks and relevant Future Expansion in them.
