🎓 With both Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Chemistry from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, I recently completed my Ph.D. at the INM Leibniz Institute for New Materials/ Saarland University, where I am now a Post Doc in the energy materials group.💡 Starting from my Vertiefermodul, industry internship, and my master thesis I found my passion for electrochemistry. Throughout my academic journey, I've delved deep into the realm of (hybrid) electrode materials, particularly focusing on lithium- and sodium-ion batteries. My research at the intersection of energy, water, and recycling nexus aims at optimizing electrode materials for energy storage applications while exploring their potential in water remediation processes, paving the way for energy-efficient drinking water processing.🌱 Additionally, I'm passionate about sustainability and circular economy principles. From electrode recycling to identifying strategies for streamlining battery recycling processes and recovering strategic elements like lithium, I'm committed to advancing environmentally friendly practices.🔍 In my role, I thrive on the multifaceted responsibilities that come with laboratory work, responsibility for different devices, meticulous result documentation, scientific writing, and mentoring students across various academic levels. Moreover, I actively collaborate with industry partners to translate research findings into large-scale applications.
