Risk Manager
The mission of Business Line Risk is to safeguard pro-actively the sustainable, moderate and future proof risk profile of the TCF Sector. Responsibilities include:· Pro-actively control risk intake, advises on credit structures and credit proposals in an early stage;· Ensuring proper and timely monitoring and reporting on the existing credit portfolio;· Striving for an optimal risk/return within an allocated capital budget;· Contributing to an efficient and effective credit & business process. Is assigned a delegation authority in the credit decision framework (first pair of eyes/first line of defense role);· Act as a linking pin between the business and 2nd line in respect of credit risk portfolio, both on individual and general portfolio issues, as well as stakeholders in the Bank such as Audit, Compliance, Finance etc. (lead the Risk Control Self-Assessment for TCF);· Set policies, give guidance on commodity specific market, risk & operational topics (author of the Borrowing Base guidelines) and act as a knowledge bank for the TCF community across the “Golden Triangle” of Relationship management and Services.· Provide strategic input to CIB & TCF Management as well as periodic reporting on the portfolio including composition portfolio, risks, timely monitoring (part of the Iran Working Group);· Pro-active involvement in increased risk files to minimize losses. Prepare and lead the Early Warning (Watch) meetings. Based on assigned FR&R designations to credits, participates in the further settlement and restructuring of these type of credits in order that loss-limiting steps can be taken on behalf of the bank and the debtor.
