I am preparing to oversee my duties as enumerated by the Articles of Governance (AOG) from the SGLC referred to as the Student Government of Loyola Chicago.I will be responsible for overseeing the entire succession process, investigation, and enforcement of instances of censure or impeachment, concerning the AOG.I will also be responsible for being the advisor for the Governance Committee.Within my position, creating trust is essential for myself and others to have good communication. We held meetings with administrators on the topics of social justice, Diversity Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) work.Having this opportunity to oversee a committee of three served as a way for me to guide them through the legislative process.During my time as chair, I was able to pass legislation alongside my committee member titled, “The Student Veteran and Veteran Families Support Resolution.” This resolution by my committee member and I, passed the senate floor that facilitated support for student veterans and veteran families. This resolution is set to facilitate and serve as a resource area for Loyola University Chicago’s veteran-affiliated students by establishing a space on campus. -

Along with this, I learned parliamentary procedures, made motions in senate meetings, and strengthened my skills by working in a group dynamic through being a part of the Campus Life and Operations Committee (CLOC).Along with being on CLOC, I later was a member of the fall elections committee. It was a full-circle moment to guide new members through the election process as a committee, for the SCLC's following term. -
