I am the Deputy General Counsel for Administrative and Regulatory Practice and Ethics Officer at the Legal Services Corporation. At LSC, I write regulations in plain English, give clear and concise legal advice, talk to anyone who’s interested about LSC’s regulations, and manage LSC’s Opioid and Veterans Task Forces. I joined LSC in 2013 after nearly ten years advising officials at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, two years teaching English in Iwate, Japan, and one week learning to sail the schooner Mary Day off the coast of Maine. I began my legal career representing people who were homeless or at risk of homelessness at the Washington Legal Clinic for the Homeless in Washington, DC.
