About Stefanie Ferrante

I am a Registered Social Worker (RSW) and a Certified Counsellor (CCC) offering individual counselling to children, adolescents, and adults. My approach to counselling is eclectic where I apply various therapy models and techniques to a variety of client concerns and issues. I use a strength-based perspective, woven into the framework of my counselling and psychotherapy, to emphasize my client's self-determination and strength to help foster their resiliency in the face of adversity. I have 7 year’s experience working with complex trauma, PTSD, depression, anxiety, and various other mental health disorders at multiple post-secondary institutions, surrounding School Boards and at Life in Harmony Counselling Centre. My counselling and psychotherapy treatment is grounded in a variety of therapeutic interventions from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, Mindfulness, and Relational Therapy. Though, multiple interventions from other modalities can be used.My warm, compassionate, and supportive approach can help individual’s lead more rewarding lives, foster independence and provide individuals with the reminder and knowledge of how strong they really are! “You didn’t come this far, to only come this far!”
