A Southern California native, I was raised by a single mom and the local Blockbuster Video store. Growing up in a female-dominated family, it’s no surprise my work would mirror my life as my stories often tell the perspective of women who are at times flawed but still manage to overcome a number of obstacles. As an interracial child from the lower middle class, I have a perspective that can grasp the challenges of race, social struggles, and the economic system in our country; which I often include in my stories. As an admirer of the Golden Age of Hollywood and the film industry, I look to overcome the odds by breaking into this business as a writer and plus-size actress.I was a semi-finalist at the Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards. I'm obtaining my Master's in Creative Writing and have done Content Writing for the last year.
