Responsible for Innovation Chemistry Laboratory with 6 FTEs. - Shaping Lab Strategy, establishing new technologies for synthesis improvement (Photochemistry, Electrochemistry, automated reaction screening, etc) - Broad application of Organic Synthesis methodologies (small scale synthesis, upscaling, route scouting & route improvement, parallel arrays, etc)- responsible for Research-wide Lab Sustainability project- Green Chemistry- Leadership in a Line and Matrix environment

• Leading an internal development laboratory (chemical synthesis, upscaling, process development, technical transfer, safety, cost efficiency, green chemistry, analytics)• Responsibility for external development activities including selection and steering of CMOs• Part of different interdisciplinary, international project teams in close interaction with research, production, pharmaceutical development, analytics, pharmacology, regulatory affairs, marketing• Project lead (project and budget planning, steering and reporting to upper management and decision boards)• People management in a line and matrix setup

• Management of drug development projects from candidate selection until market access • Steering of cross-functional, international project teams• Continuous improvement of project management tools and standards

• Implementation of “Lean Management” to R&D departments, coaching of department heads • Leader of cross-functional improvement projects (strategy, cost and time efficiency, line management and soft skills, Lean Six Sigma)

• Leading an internal research laboratory (synthesis, method development and -establishment, analytics)• Responsibility for establishment and supervision of external CROs• Project lead of different interdisciplinary research projects
