About Stefanie Simon
First and foremost, I am a lover of literature. I love to read and write and create stories, and I also have a passion for grammar and the structuring of the written word. I am a friendly, bubbly, innovative, and outgoing person who will put her all into any task given, and I am not afraid to ask questions or to do further research in order to improve myself and my work. I worked at Exclusive Books for a time during my studies at university, and it was there that I discovered my undying passion for books and the book publishing industry. It is a dream of mine to be able to work within the editorial sector of a large publishing house and to be partially responsible for the publication of some of the world's greatest literary works. I also completed a course with the UK-based company, the Publishing Training Centre, which provides an in-depth and detailed overview of all aspects of the publishing industry, including that of the editorial sector. Additionally, I just completed an editorial internship with Penguin Random House South Africa (Cape Town), and currently, I am working as an intern editor for the e-learning company, Cognician.I am a willing and eager learner and will pick up any industry-specific programs and tasks quickly, and I am certainly not afraid to ask questions! I love to learn and am always looking to improve myself in many facets of both my work and private life.I believe that I would be a valuable asset to any team and that I would bring a unique flair and passion to the editing industry as a whole.
