Provided overall leadership for an organization consisting of over 750 service members and their families, including both new and seasoned military family members. Duties included recruiting and supporting an all volunteer organization during post deployment reorganization within the Brigade. Acted as chairperson for the unit's steering committee and provided guidance drawn from extensive Family Readiness Group volunteer experience. Delegated event details to lower echelon volunteer positions in support of soldier and family events while overseeing the higher level intent of the program. Identified unique challenges of both the group and individuals needs within the greater organization.

Ensured that the families of forward deployed units had all the resources necessary to keep the home front synchronized with the goals of the unit so that the soldiers could focus on the mission during a time of war. Aligned family members with community agencies and partners as needed to attain services. Coordinated events, both informational and social, to achieve cohesion and provide support, while also empowering and guiding new family members into self reliance upon separation from their service member.
