I am currently a student at the University of Central Florida, where I am majoring in Finance. As I continue through my academic career, I become more excited to apply my knowledge and skills to an internship that will expose me to new challenges and experiences. I find value in finance because not only is it practical, but the opportunity to make financial decisions for others, and making decisions that can make such a large impact on people’s lives, is something I would be honored to be a part of. Although I am unsure what specific career I would like to pursue, I am passionate and hoping to find a well-rounded experience that will expose me to different areas in finance. I am currently a member of the Technical Development Committee within my organization, the Association of Latino Professionals for America. Within my committee, I am developing my technical skills in Excel and improving my research skills by compiling 10-k reports of Fortune 100 companies into company briefings for the benefit of my fellow members. With the skills and knowledge gained from my work within my committee, combined with my academics, I hope to find an amazing opportunity and broaden my horizons.
