In this course students learn how to create an innovative media product using design thinking and agile project management elements. This blended 5 credit course is a mix of virtual sessions and workshop activities.

The seminar provides an introduction to the basic principles of design thinking and shows how this innovative method can be used especially in media companies. Business Development Manager , Product Manager, employees of media companies, especially editorial, marketing and e-business can learn how to create new products, thinking from the perspective of their customers, designing fast concepts and simple media prototypes.

In this master course the students conduct a small project and experience virtual collaboration. The presence project kick-off in Vienna is followed by different virtual settings, e.g. 3D worlds, video conferencing tools, synchron google docs/chat etc.

This fully virtual 3D course supervises students, who practice their internships abroad from their home university in Berlin - business coaching and virtual role plays on workplace experiences offered in 2 different time zones.
