I am the AHEC Scholars Coordinator and Recruiter. I serve as the Coordinator for the Junior Scholars program that partners with Gateway to Health Careers. As a Mental Health First Aid instructor, I teach an 8 hour course three times a year. I serve as the primary point of contact with school district; provide health career presentations or information to high school students; supports continuing education events, including: registration intake, payments, and event support. Utilizing approved youth engagement curriculum to engage students in health career discussions and assists other agencies in the region in supporting health career outreach. Entering of data into Excel spreadsheets, third party data bases, and tracking current status of former students or trainees using social media and state licensing data bases. Updates internal tracking systems related to this information and provides administrative support for Panhandle AHEC office.

I was the Site Coordinator for Central Texas College aboard Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia. I advised students in regards to degree requirements, financial aid, career opportunities, and transferring options. I have experience with various educational software applications such as Colleague, WebAdvisor, PivotLink, and Blackboard. As the Site Coordinator, I ensured students submit their Military Tuition Assistance prior to the term start date. I had to code the Tuition Assistance within a timely manner.As students approach graduation, I would walk them through the steps of applying for graduation. As the Site Coordinator, I was the "one stop shop" for all advising needs.
