Solar Analytics provides a unique solar monitoring product that uses sophisticated algorithms to analyse the energy generated by a PV system, and compare this to the calculated energy yield based on the PV system parameters and daily weather conditions. These algorithms intelligently assess how well a PV system is performing, and inform the solar PV system installer and owner so that underperforming systems can be rectified in a timely manner.

Specified, selected suppliers, negotiated, ordered, commissioned and equipment for 20 MW, 24/7 semi-automated or fully automated operation module assembly line, plus glass edging, roller coating, resist dry, reflow bake, and materials handling, including design of proto-type equipment and novel use applications. Implemented and refined factory production processes, including process control, training, procedures, and handing over processes and equipment to German engineers/operators. Cost and delivery time for all equipment achieved within 9 month target and €2.1 m budget.Tested, specified, negotiated and selected materials for above processes, with an annual purchase value of €9.8 m.Customer liaison for products. Worked with customers to understand their requirements and issues, then translate this into an optimised design. Includes design and testing of patented framing elements.

Developed pilot line processes for all module assembly processes for the manufacture of a revolutionary thin film photovoltaic technology. This included the research, development and costing of several novel and unique processes, including edge isolation, tabbing, lamination, contact bake, junction box, framing, hi-pot, and light IV. Reduced pilot line module assembly cycle time from 2 days to 2 hours, increased yield from 80% to 99%, and reduced costs from $72 to $39/module. Responsible for all durability testing activities of CSG Solar’s products. Developed new Combined Cycle durability test sequence, which has been reported and adopted internationally.Lead Plug&Power™ product design, including specification, design and wind load analysis.

Process control for the Circuit Board assembly line. Used Design of Experiments and Statistical Process Control to reduce defect rate from 3000 PPM to 300 PPM across all three lines.

Implemented ISO 9002 quality assurance systems. Developed and implemented company systems - vendor qualification, internal audits, corrective action, external audits of critical vendors. Trained all staff in ISO 9000 procedures.
