DiCon Fiberoptics - a 500M passive fiberoptic component firmhead quartered in SF, Ca.Responsibilities included Asia Pacific and East Coast US Business Development. Exercised all aspects of developing new business, expanding existing business, project management, strategic price and delivery negotiations, risk assessment management, internal and external sales management, resource allocation management, and new technology feasibility and market studies.- Responsible for all business development and management of distributors in Asia Pacific and the East coast of the United States.- Primary account manager for several $10M + projects at tier one accounts such as: Sycamore Networks, Altamar Networks, Scientific Atlanta, Huawei, NEC, Fujitsu. - Turned profit from the Asia Pacific region within 3 months of assignment, managed a significant expansion of project involvement. - Played a key role in transferring all active Asian accounts to new sales office/team in Taiwan. - Assistant to the Director of DiCon’s Tier 1 account – Cisco Systems – organized, conducted and participated in weekly meetings at Cisco involving worldwide Cisco attendees from engineering to VP level. Displayed vertical involvement/familiarity in departments ranging from specific Cisco business units to GSM. Solely responsible for all Cisco related business matters while the director was absent. - Delivered weekly presentations on strategic account development and key points of progress directly to the CEO, Senior VP, and Director of Sales and Marketing. - Managed all aspects of meetings between DiCon’s technical teams and critical customers. - Responsible for the profitable development of over 50 new accounts. - Represented the company at several worldwide tradeshows and business trips.
