Improve the customer experience by minimizing the time taken to go live; maximizinguptime; and minimizing lifecycle costs. Capturing parameters for remote service and trending data.• Perform the role of Service Design Engineer within new product development projects• Work with Service Product Management and field experts to capture the installation and service user needs• Work closely with product engineers to ensure implementation of installation and service requirements• Participate in product design and safety reviews• Develop and validate installation and service procedures.• Assist technical authors in the writing of installation and service manuals• Define spare parts and installed based tracking requirements• Create Service Design plans and provide reports on progress• Support the training department in the production of product related technical courses• Create and review Field Change Orders to update systems in the field• Write and review product handover information• Provide high level technical assistance to the Installation and Service Teams for new products• Offer on-site assistance when required• Use Through Life Cost Models to aid decision making

Responsible for ensuring on-time delivery of service product features, technical publications, initial training, global parts availability, and service process validation.Involved in all new hardware/software development projects to ensure that our products meet the desired and required Design for Service level expected from a modern product and part in the life cycle management process.Provide remote and on-site support to our field service engineers.• Developing, updating and maintaining our internal and external product service documentation• Defining procedures for field modifications, calibrations, and part replacements• Owning product and subsystem requirements related to serviceability and diagnosis• Setting FRU (spare part) strategies and interfacing with external organizations such as Service Operations• Providing high quality service deliverables within the scope of New Product Introduction projects and Product Care activities• Driving technical solutions and program leadership to improve the product, process or technology• Maintaining effective quality systems compliant with Cytiva Quality policies and Six Sigma standards
