Samhällsnytta serves as new form of policy co-creation lab and is a Swedish national platform for various stakeholders to collaboratively address current complex societal challenges through innovative approaches. It offers a neutral space and helps to shape arenas where existing norms and structures are questioned in a supportive and experimental environment. Connecting national policy makers with local actors, citizens and other stakeholders to prototype and learn based on real world experiments and experience. This initiative, a non-profit subsidiary of Karlstads University Holding AB and fully owned by Karlstads University, operates to make research outcomes accessible and beneficial for society. Samhällsnytta fosters a pioneering spirit, incorporating learning into collective action, with methodologies grounded in the expertise of researchers at the Center for Service Research and designers from Experio Lab, striving to enhance citizen influence in collaboration with democratic institutions.
