He was responsible for bringing up a SPI based temperature PCB board. The tasks consisted of integrating existing SPI libraries for the temperature ICs and the LED ICs. He also helped in fixing some of the HW issues. Stefan is a quick learner and although relatively new in embedded systems can tackle problems with autonomy. He was able to find existing SPI libraries in the internet and integrate them to provide a functional prototype. As long as he keeps learning the fundamentals of embedded systems and never stops being curious, he should be able to contribute to more complicated embedded systems in the future. "

At the summer internship at KIT's synchrotron institute, called ANKA, I was working under the supervision of Dr Lothar Weinhardt. We were a team of two intoducing ourselves into the area of soft X-rays. Our task was to calibrate the soft X-ray gun. During this internship I learned about energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and the handling of big amounts of data. Additionally we experimented with fuel cells and learned the basics of quantum mechanics while longer experiments were taking time.
