I had the position of Advanced / Bid Engineer at Bombardier Transportation Rail Control Solutions, a global mobility solution with 35000 employees worldwide. Being an Advanced Bid Engineer, I knew how to handle the company development of new advanced signaling solutions projects and I helped Bombardier to introduce their products and services in new potential markets.RESPONSIBILITIES• Development and execution of new advance signalling solution projects.• Management of multiple projects directed to new potential business markets.• Coordination and management of ERTMS L2 and High Density sistems projects in Italyand abroad.• Technical Project Manager and ERTMS Expert for the ERTMS L3 Regional experimentalsite based in Italy.

• Management of a signalling project based in Morocco (400km of line between Casablanca and Tanger with 31 stations), a complex system which includes several technologies (Interlocking, ERTMS L1, CTC, etc). It was my responsibility in front of the customer to agree on a feasible solution (according to their requirements), and internally to match the available budget in terms of money (equipment and man hours).• Coordination of an international team composed by Italian, Spanish and Moroccan resources in direct contact with the Moroccan customer (ONCF).• Development of the bid preparation: defining systems’ characteristics and architecture, estimating the engineering activities in respect of the assigned budget.

• Coordination and management of a team composed by 25 resources whose responsibility was to ensure, according to planning, products required by projects, being a mediator between different stakeholders: Customers (mainly Rete Ferroviaria Italiana), Suppliers, Bombardier’s Headquarters in Sweden, Germany, Poland, Certification entities (Notified Bodies), internal functions.• Supervision of the team product’s customization and new service’s development (composed by hardware and software products for the railway signaling market for Bombardier’s region 4 ranging from Interlocking to Axel Counters, ERTMS L1 and L2 products, etc).• Main interface with colleagues based in Sweden and Poland to define market’s specific requirements to have them implemented in generic products.• Customer’s RFI interface during the requirements collection, analysis, field test and homologation phase of new products.• External supplier interface during the project’s development (hardware and software design/development).• New products development & introduction Guidelines realization.• Design and organization of an internal course (in which I was also the trainer) onBombardier’s products for Bombardier’s employees in Rome.• Started-up a planning and reporting system based on “Primavera” tool, and aprocedure to handle the non-conformities.
