ARCA is the first and unique brand born to valorised and promote wood constructions through quality and sustainability.ARCA has chosen the certification as method to assign its brand to differentiate the wood constructions with characteristics of quality and sustainability.ARCA certifies the wood constructions (buildings and rooftop elevations) by evaluating the following performance: earthquake resistance, fire resistance, sound insulation, energy efficiency, air tightness of the building, construction quality, certified wood, air quality and other more.ARCA is promoted by the Trentino's government (www.provincia.tn.it), managed and developed by Trentino Sviluppo SpA, the development agency of the Trentino (www.trentinosviluppo.it). The ARCA certification process and the training are managed by Habitech - the Distretto Tecnologico Trentino (www.habitech.it).I'm very proud and lucky to be deviser of ARCA certification.As Technical Coordinator I actively participated in defining the strategy for the valorisation of the brand and I created the certification system (policy, procedures…) through the coordinating of a Scientific and Technical Committee, involving three international certification bodies, universities and national research institutes, designers and businesses.
