I acquired experience in designing rugged handheld mobile computers dedicated to the following application fields: Warehousing, Retail In-Store, Self Shopping and Field Force Automation. The main features of handheld computers I'm working on are:- Linear or 2D barcode reader.- Standalone GPS and A-GPS. - UMTS HSPA voice and data, WiFi a/b/g/n 2X2 MIMO, Bluetooth, NFC radios.- Autofocus camera with flash.- USB 2.0 connectivity.- Ethernet connectivity- Android and Windows Operating Systems.In particular, I gained a strong experience in:- Analog and high speed digital hardware designing.- Power and battery management, including USB port charging management.- Audio hardware design for handset, headset and handsfree capability.- PCB designing for WiFi, 3G, Bluetooth and NFC Modules.- PCB designing for Ethernet Modules- Schematics and PCB design review to decrease EMI and improve ESD immunity.- Hardware testing and debugging, teaming up with Software Designers.- Designing devices to achieve the following compliances: CE, FCC, CTIA, PTCRB and AT&T. - CPLD/FPGA designing.I also gained experience in:- Working with ODM- Designing review of ODM/OEM products.- Cost-Reduction projects.
