The editor-in-chief meets regularly with Ceo and the publisher to discuss issues, plans and other business relating to the publication. I’m particularly proud to fulfill my proper function of generate ideas for new ways of doing things, using new format, new technologies, implementing ways to increase readership and how to utilize new platforms.I’m in charge of creating editorial guidelines and overseeing all department editors and contributors. I set the tone, editorial direction and policies for the publication and make sure every issue is consistent on these measures. As executive editor, I manage all the day-to-day operations of www.lifegate.it and of radio journals of LifeGate Radio, overseeing all of the contributors and assistant & department editors and ensuring that each issue is released on time and properly shared on social media. I provide suggestions, if needed, about any changes to make before the publication goes online or on-air. All articles and photographs must be reviewed for accuracy as well as potential libel or slander: in Italy this role - direttore responsabile - is required by law, so I am liable for all our journalistic content.

ExpoNet is the official magazine of Expo Milano 2015, developed to accommodate and stimulate debate, to spread knowledge and increase awareness around the way we feed ourselves. We offered insights, interviews, special scientific features, news and surveys. This content and the knowledge will be part of the legacy of this Universal Exposition. The complexity of people, jobs, transportation, technology, lives and the destinies that are hidden behind the plates on our tables every day has been discussed. With knowledge of its story, all food recaptures the dignity it deserves, and we quickly discover that our small daily habits are permanently intertwined with major global issues: food waste and injustice, GMOs, land grabbing, the future of Made in Italy, food security and world hunger. With a journalistic approach, we gave a voice to all opinions, allowing each reader to have his views - and the reasons for them - on the challenges that lie ahead and how best to address them.

I learned here, with Nicoletta Salvatori, to work seriously. I was responsible for the content and quality of our publication, ensuring that my stories was engaging and informative. I performed continuous scouting of sources, scientific materials, recruiting of experts and opinion leader.My responsibilities include:- overseeing the layout, appearance and content of feature articles- generating ideas for features with writing staff and Editor-in-chief- accepting commissioned articles from editors and Editor-in-chief- editing and re-writing articles- overseeing artwork, design and photography for the features section of the magazine- attending photo shoots- understanding and complying with media law and industry ethical guidelines- proposing feature articles for each issue- raising the profile of the magazine- networking with others at industry events- assisting other staff to meet their deadlines
