I am a PhD candidate in Biology at Queen Mary University of London, where I focus on analysing evolutionary trends such as hybrid speciation and adaptations using high throughput sequencing data. With a first class honours BSc in Biology and experience in both wet-lab and bioinformatics techniques, I am well-versed in using molecular techniques such as DNA extraction, PCR, and whole genome sequencing, as well as bioinformatics tools for genome assembly, phylogenetic reconstruction, and molecular dating. In addition to my research, I have also served as a lecturer and tutor in biosciences at Middlesex University, where I had the opportunity to share my passion for science and teach others about the latest advances in the field.Currently, I am employed as a aDNA lab technician at RBG Kew, performing WGS of ancient herbaria.Looking ahead, I am excited to continue pursuing my research interests and contributing to the scientific community. Please feel free to connect with me to discuss any opportunities or collaborations in the field of biology.
