"On a single breath" represents a freediving philosophy, a pure form of interaction with nature and a fine art photography concept that seeks to bring the unique experience of freediving to the surface and share it with the world. The underwater captures, are a part of the deep, they are a minute representation of that magical feeling, that connection with a part of our planet that, to a great extent, has remained out of the reach of mankind and so has retained a purity and connection that can rarely by found above the surface of the sea.By exhibiting this body of work and presenting its unique characteristics I seek to instill in viewers a greater interest In freediving and an appreciation of the importance of interconnected environments to maintain healthy ecosystems. The photographs have been exhibited in international galleries and foundations/museums and have been published in articles and features by recognized magazines.Apnea underwater photography is a truly unique and challenging endeavor. It is the absolute manifestation of “action-wildlife photography” and requires tremendous effort and preparation. As well as requiring sound technical skills and physical abilities, the photographer needs to have a deep understanding and awareness of the marine environment and its inhabitants.
