    In Diehl Aviation I worked on all Airbus programs: from the Single Aisle and Long Range to the A350 and A380 families, supporting the improvement of JCRs in the cabin interiors panels. The task was to validate the FEM results with tests considering the weight limit for the parts in Composite Materials. Stress Reports, Similarity Statements, Test Reports and Technical Documentations were my daily workload as well as calculation with Hypermesh, Nastran and Optistruct. The weight was recorded in Teamcenter/SAP and calculated with macros starting from the DWGs and CAD models. In this experience I got the certification in Teamcenter and in Optistruct.

    To improove the RTM technology, I worked on two projects to realize advanced composite materials structures for aerospace applications. The first one was called Firb for Alenia Aermacchi, in this project I performed linear and non linear static FEM analysis to verify the structural integrity and to optimize thickness of a Beam, that enables the Trust Reverser movement of an Airbus A380 engine. The target was to realize that Beam in composite materials instead of metal. The second project was called Meta for Alenia Aeronautica.Meta's task was to realize an advanced composite materials structure able to accomplish simultaneously to mechanical, electrical, thermal and acoustic requirements.In this project I performed FEM analysis and I molded experimental panels with the RTM technology to be tested in laboratory, in compliance with the ASTM requirements, to verify all the project aims.

    As an Aerospace Designer / Structure Analyst Engineer for the Department of Aerospace and Astronautic Engineering of University "La Sapienza" in Rome, I worked on two projects called "Prin" and "Macmes" (for CIRA) either with the purpose to build up an aeronautical panel in advanced composite materials with embedded sensors inside to monitoring the structure health in real time. In those projects I defined a specimens geometry with CAD software and I studyed FEM analysis of the specimens behaviour. In compliance with ASTM requirements those specimens were tested in order to validate the target properties and to proceed to the realization of the aeronautical panels.Previously I worked on project Elimat for AgustaWestland. The purpose was to improve the RTM technology to mold a AW139 helicopter component. To achieve the target, different steps were followed: drawing the mold with CAD software, simulating the component behaviour with FEM software knowing its loads and constraints, and simulating the injection process of the resin into the mold designed before. At the same time, experimental tests were executed in the University laboratories to proceed in the realization of the mold, at first, and the component, later on.During the Master period, I also worked on the project Flecs for Thales Alenia Space in Turin, Italy. My tasks were to verify the safety coefficients of a space structure by using FEM software like Nastran and to find critical points for stress or strains values. I personally presented those results at the Flecs Progress Meeting 5th at the ASI site in Rome, Italy.
