As a Senior Product Quality Manager at Companion Products of Sony Mobile Communications, I worked to secure product quality in highly complex product development projects. Products developed were phone accessories and Smartwear. Companion Products during this time expanded heavily and moved into previously unknown territories as more advanced wearables were developed. It was motivating and exciting to work with product quality in a changing environment, with short lead times and extremely tough competition. My major contribution to the development process of these products was to make sure the consumer expectations were known and visible to all project members from the early phases of the projects. It meant analyzing the consumer expectations, setting requirements that reflect those, and to follow up the status of those requirements during the course of the projects.I was also a driving force in establishing the quality processes needed at Companion Products to secure product quality in these very challenging circumstances.

Worked in the phone development projects, driving quality activities and assessing quality status. In this position I worked with many different aspects which would affect the final quality of the product and cooperated with people from many different disciplines.Worked with improvements of the internal quality and development processes. September to November 2010 worked as acting Head of PQM.Major accomplishment:Was responsible PQM for the hardware of the first handheld game console smartphone produced by Sony Ericsson. This project was a major cooperation between sites in several different parts of the world, requiring great flexibility and clarity in reporting and communication from all involved.

Maintained and developed the Quality and Environment management system.Major accomplishment: Transformed existing system from a paper product into a functional management system. Led workshops with all functions in order for the employees to gain understanding about the advantages of a working system and their individual contribution to overall quality. Documented all processes together with the employees to a detailed level and implemented improvements where necessary.

Led product development projects from idea to finished product, coordinating efforts from internal and external parties. Created time plans for the development of new products in order to meet requests to present them at certain trade exhibitions. Created and controlled specifications of requirements. Selected supplier and negotiated purchasing prices for new products. Worked closely with suppliers in the prototype phase until the product was ready to be handed over to purchasing department.Major accomplishment: Transformed the way product development was handled, introducing more detailed time plans and specifications of requirements.

Had the overall responsibility of the furniture range within the company. Led product development projects within the furniture range from idea to finished product, coordinating efforts from internal and external parties. Produced marketing materials and held trainings internally and externally for new and changed products. Was also responsible for our stands at exhibition fairs including organizing all stand material and the assembly of products shown. Major accomplishment: Drove transformation of the way purchasing of furnishing products was made. From time consuming hands on approach with owned stock of unfinished goods from many suppliers, to fewer suppliers who handled and owned stock of unfinished goods themselves. This enabled the company to keep offering custom made furnishing which was an important competitive edge.

Negotiated with suppliers regarding price and delivery time.Major accomplishment: Led purchasing of a very large furnishing project; the new library of The Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm. Coordinated purchasing, production, transports and assembly of all details which contributed greatly to a successful completion of the project in time.
