I am currently working as an Application Engineer, having completing an Extended Major in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Queensland. Successes include: being selected as a UQ Future Leader and RWH Hawken Scholar, obtaining the Vale Engineering Scholarship and consistently attaining the Dean’s Commendation for High Achievement.Working for Cummins, a leading global power technology business, has provided me with a real world engineering experience which not only helped cultivate my communication, team working, system design and integration engineering skills, but reinforced the importance of prioritizing safety.My experiences can be summarized as follows:► Prioritizing Health, Safety, and Environmental considerations,► Engineering Analysis including instrumentation, data analysis for effective problem identification and rectification.► Mechanical Design to relevant standards,► Simulation including: Vehicle Dynamics, Derailment Analysis and Finite Element Analysis,► Contribution to the development, review and update of internal and external standards.► Creating and reviewing Technical Drawings (Engineering Drawings, P&IDs, PFDs)► Preventive, Predictive, Proactive and Corrective Maintenance,► Risk Assessments, HAZOP and SIL rating► Office and Filed based experience.Extra-curricular interests include tutoring of university engineering subjects for ATSIS (Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies), forming part of the Better Speaking Club executive committee and involvement in local social sport and recreation groups.Colleagues know me as positive and hard working, with fine attention to detail, but moreover as a person who asks questions and finds answers.
