About Stefan Maksimovic
I’m living the dream with my baby girl, wife and coding!I’ve always been a great problem solver, an independent Jedi, and a technophile obsessed with the latest gadgets. Today, I’m working as a Backend developer at Simplicity and I get to show off all these elements of who I am.I started learning to code when I was a teenager, though it was always a career focus. After a college education in Computer Science, I was sure software engineering was the right call for me.Since then, I’ve worked in a few companies and have been involved with a handful of notable projects. Even when I leave the office, I tend to continue writing code at home. Most recently I have been working on a website for my table tennis team. I find a beautiful crossover between my software and tennis. Both pursuits challenge so many aspects of the intellect: creativity, organization, sequential processing, problem-solving. This is what keeps me up at night, a never-ending thirst to create beautiful, powerful things and share them with the world.Skills/Interests: PHP, Symfony, Laravel, JavaScript, MySQL, MariaDB, Docker, CSS3, HTML5, Git, GitLab, Bootstrap, jQuery, but I’m always adding new skills to my repertoire. I’m also eager to meet other software engineers in the area, so feel free to connect!
