Intern at the Mangrove Capital Project of Wetlands International (graded 8.5/10). With the Mangrove Capital project Wetlands International envisions a future in which mangroves contribute to coastal resilience, and sound mangrove management creates a basis for economic prosperity. Wetlands International and Deltares designed methodology for a large scale pilot project for the rehabilitation of an eroding mangrove-mud coasts in Indonesia. Aim is to recapture sediment in eroded areas by smart Hybrid Engineering Method. After which mangrove trees can recolonize the area providing a protective greenbelt.This internship will supported the first small scale pilot planned in the Demak area, Java, Indonesia and included a field work of 4 months.
