About Stefan Vis
The main goal I have within my current position is :Helping our customers and partners with the challenges they face related to Emergency Response competences of their crew / employees. Whether it is for the Maritime or the Off- & Onshore Oil & Gas or Renewable Industries there is always a solution to move beyond and above compliancy.My name is Stefan Vis and I am working for ERGT Australia now. From the beginning of my career in this industry, I am really passionate about working in the safety training industry, I am a real ambassador for the safety culture throughout the maritime, offshore and wind industry. I like to collaboratively work with people from the various industries with different backgrounds and cultures. I help them in working safely and, most importantly, give them the tools to return home safely to their families. The first 5 years in this industry, I worked in the position of Senior Trainer specialised in training courses related to Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) and Emergency Response subjects for the oil & gas-, maritime- and renewable industry. In 2010 I successfully made a career change into Product and Business Development with full focus on the maritime industry. At this time the ‘STCW Manila Amendments 2010’ were implemented. I was responsible for consulting the shipowners, the shipowners association and the flag state authority of the Netherlands to find the best way of delivering STCW refresher training courses and implementing the Amendments into Dutch legislation. For several years I then supported the commercial teams as business development, which eventually changed into the role of Client Solutions ManagerAs a result of my influence and experience, I was approached by ERGT Australia in order to work for them. Which I am doing since early January 2023. Looking forward to support ERGT in client specific projects for ERGT's safety partners in the offshore Oil & Gas & Renewable, Maritime and Mining industries.

Last project was to develop the STCW Refresher training courses according the Manila Amendments., including Basic Training, Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats other than Fast Rescue Boats, Proficiency in Fast Rescue Boats and Advanced Fire Fighting. By developing the refresher training courses in cooperation with our clients, we were able to receive approval by Netherlands Shipping Inspectorate as first training provider in the Netherlands.
